Configure printed receipts on your PAX terminal readers
Printed receipts can be configured directly from the Payments app on your terminal reader.
To disable/enable Customer/Merchant printed receipts:
- Turn on the card reader by pressing and holding the power button for 3-5 seconds
- Tap the Handpoint payments app
- Tap Settings (cogwheel icon)
- Tap Printing Options
- Toggle Automatic Printing to
- “Off” to turn off printed receipts
- “On” to turn on printed receipts
To increase the font size of the printed receipts:
- Turn on the card reader by pressing and holding the power button for 3-5 seconds
- Go to the terminal reader Settings
- If the terminal reader asks for a password, the default settings passwords are: pax9876@@ or 9876
- Tap Display
- Tap Font Size
- Select a larger size
By modifying this option, the font size will be increased as well as the font that appears on receipts.
To change the printer roll in the PAX A920 or A920 Pro:
The Pax A920 includes an in-built printer for printing receipts with a thermal paper roll.
To change the printer roll
- On the back of the card reader, pull down the paper lid release leaver and take the whole lid casing away
- Remove the paper roll by simply pulling it out of the slot
- Insert the new thermal paper roll in the same slot with the glossy side of the paper sheet facing out the top
- Pull out around 2 inches of the paper sheet and close the close over it, until the lid snaps into place
- Tear off any excess paper
Now your card reader is ready to produce receipts after a transaction.
To change the printer roll in the Pax A80:
The Pax A80 includes an in-built printer for printing receipts with a thermal paper roll.
To change the printer roll:
- On the top of the card reader, pull out the paper lid release leaver (towards the front) and open the lid casing
- Remove the paper roll by simply pulling it out of the slot
- Insert the new thermal paper roll in the same slot with the glossy side of the paper sheet facing out the top
- Pull out around 2 inches of the paper sheet and close the close over it, until the lid snaps into place
- Tear off any excess paper (pulling up towards the front of the card reader)
Now your card reader is ready to produce receipts after a transaction is carried out.
